Hundreds of thousands of car and mullet enthusiasts, along with some of Australia’s best burnout masters, have packed the streets of Canberra as the 35th Summernats continues in the capital.
Attendees at the spectacular car rally have been treated to burnout competitions, drift rides and special performances by Shannon Noll, Daryl Braithwaite and Jon Stevens among others over the four-day event.

Fans were treated to days of burnout and drift competitions as thousands of cars were put on show.

A “dirty mullet” fashion competition on Saturday gave many attendees the chance to show off their precious locks of hair in a hilarious change of pace.
But the main attraction all weekend has been the huge line-up of cars putting on a spectacular show with rides and burnouts.
Attendees were treated to shows from artists like Shannon Noll and Daryl Braithwaite on Friday, with Bliss N Eso set to grace the stage on Saturday night.
Classic cars also formed part of the competition.
Ticket sales were reportedly so unprecedented they were sold out early on Friday.

On Saturday afternoon, competitors took to the track for the burnout championship eliminations after championship eliminations on the previous Friday.
The second round of eliminations will take place later on Saturday, before the finals take place on Sunday.
Following that, there will be a final 10 face-off at 3pm.

100,000 revved up fans were treated to a show over the course of the festival – now in its 35th year.
More than 2700 cars and 100,000 revved up fans descended on Exhibition Park in Canberra for the festival.
Limited tickets were available for the event after an unprecedented demand for tickets caused it to be sold out.
