German brand ups its 911 entry price to unseen heights as Porsche’s EV and smallest SUV also get pricier
Porsche Cars Australia has dished out another round of significant price increases for some of its key models, this time for the Porsche 911, Taycan and Macan, with the biggest increases being applied to its iconic sports car.
Coming into effect less than a fortnight after we learned of price hikes for the Porsche 718 Boxster and Cayman sports car range, this is the second major price rise for the Porsche 911 range in the past 10 months, and this time it brings increases ranging between $19,500 and $38,900 depending on the variant.
More than $20,000 has been added to the price of the entry-level Carrera coupe, meaning the Porsche 911 range now opens at an unprecedented $279,300 plus on-road costs.

The biggest increases of $38,900 and $34,000 have predictably been applied to the track-focused GT3 RS (now from $539,100 plus ORCs) and the ballistic Turbo S Coupe ($540,200) respectively, but the title of the most expensive 911 variant remains with the Turbo S Cabriolet following a $33,400 price jump (now $560,000 plus ORCs).
A full pricing breakdown can be found below and we’ll update this article with Porsche’s reasons for the increases once we hear back from the German brand’s local division.

Those in the market for a high-end EV will be buoyed to hear the increases applied to the local Taycan line-up are far more subtle, with only two of the eight spilling over into five figures.
Prices for the all-electric sedan and crossover range now start from $165,700 plus ORCs (+$7600) for the entry-level Taycan RWD and stretch up to $365,100 (+$14,100) for the flagship Turbo S.
Porsche Taycan
It’s a similar story with Porsche’s smaller SUV, the Macan, albeit with more consistent increases across the range.
According to the industry pricing guide seen by carsales, Macan prices have risen between $5900 and $6600 depending on the variant, with $6000 being added to the entry price.
As a result, the Porsche Macan now starts from $95,300 and hits a ceiling of $143,200 for the GTS, plus on-road costs and options.
