Mini Aceman: unveiled in July 2022
► New Mini design concept car► Due to be unveiled this week
► Electric power meets crossover body
The Mini Aceman will be unveiled this week – the latest instalment in the What Does Mini Do Next saga. It’s a concept car probing the future design direction and segment plans for Britain’s small-car specialist, as it seeks to broaden its product offering and prepare for an EV only line-up.
Mini execs have indicated that the Aceman will sport the company’s next-generation electric powertrain, as the brand prepares to go all-electric.
It’s no coincidence the name of the concept car mirrors that of the shortlived Mini Paceman; it will again draw inspiration from the crossover genre, blending Mini’s traditional hatchback silhouette with the chunkier aesthetic of the SUV breed.

This marketing video doesn’t give much away – apart from the latest iteration of the LED-heavy Union flag flashing rear lights and what looks like a grille lit up like the Blackpool illuminations.
