Mercedes-Benz GLC-Class launched in Singapore : Good Luck Charm
Mercedes-Benz Centre, Singapore – Singapore welcomes the smartly-cut Mercedes-Benz GLC-Class, with prices (inclusive of COE as of May 3) for the freshly launched GLC spanning S$390k (for the MHEV 48V GLC 300 4MATIC Avantgarde) to S$440k (for the PHEV GLC 300e 4Matic AMG Line).

The GLC300e 4Matic marks the debut of the GLC range’s first PHEV for Singapore. With an electric output of 100kW and a torque of 440Nm (combined system output and torque are 313hp and 550Nm respectively), the GLC300e is capable of travelling up to 138km (WLTP) in all-electric mode, which is more than adequate for most people’s weekly commute to/from work.
With a length of 4716 mm, the new GLC is 60mm longer (to better optimise its 2888mm wheelbase) and 4mm lower than its predecessor. The luggage capacity grows by 70-litres to 620-litres, thanks to the the longer rear overhang.
Following the S-Class and the C-Class, the new GLC features the second generation MBUX (Mercedes-Benz User Experience) infotainment system, with a free-floating 12.3-inch high-resolution LCD screen for the driver and 11.9-inch central display, which rises seamlessly from the centre console.
More importantly, it also gave us a sneak peek into the recently refurbished Mercedes-Benz Centre, as it now features a warm ambience designed around a modular concept for both sales and after-sales/service (now mostly automated) functions.
The service process starts at the main point of contact – not reception as you might think, but the security guard as you drive through the gantry, which detects your vehicle’s VRN and pre-alerts the service advisor.
This sets in motion the service consultation process that kicks-off with parking in your allocated service bay. After entering the building, all you need to do is to find yourself a comfy niche before the service advisor comes to… wherever you are – a welcome change from being herded into a common (and often crowded) waiting area.

We’re told the full relaunch of the Mercedes-Benz Center will happen in 2024 and visitors can expect an even more comprehensive suite of consumer-centric features.
