The Long Tail model is taken to another level, thanks to 1016 Industries.
As the range-topping McLaren Sports series model and the fifth model to carry the Long Tail name, the 600LT was one of the marque's most important supercars.
American tuner 1016 Industries, known for making semi-tasteful builds of European exotics, has elevated it to a new level with a one-off creation called “Cricket.” Car collector Harrison Woodruff commissioned it. Beyond the exterior enhancements and green hue, this unique 600LT also receives substantial performance upgrades.
The Florida-based tuner showered the 600LT with carbon fiber elements on the revised air intakes and splitter. The canards complement the supercar's aero functions, while the twill carbon fiber hood replacement has creases similar to those on the McLaren P1.

Meanwhile, the Brixton Forged PF13-RS wheels are custom-made to optimize weight and to match the striking green paint job and the carbon fiber side skirts. The set measures 20 inches at the front and 21 inches at the rear, all wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires. One can't miss the DarwinPro Poseidon carbon fiber wing at the back, giving the British supercar a more aggressive appeal. Of note, 1016 Industries claims a 17-pound reduction in overall weight using carbon fiber elements installed by Global Motorsports Group.
Underneath that exterior lies the tuned twin-turbo 3.8-liter engine that churns out 750 horsepower, making it even more powerful than the 750S and nearly as powerful as another Long Tail model, the 765LT. This figure was achieved using a Voodoo Design 12C cat bypass system, handcrafted from 304 stainless steel, plus software and calibration done through M-Engineering M838T M-Tuner.

“We engineered the Cricket 600LT in the tradition of a rally car, but with comfort and performance in mind. You can drive this car for a long time, fast. The build team made sure to design a car that looked completely unique while integrating more performance-oriented touches to make the car lighter and stronger. This really is a one-of-a-kind McLaren that moves,” said Woodruff.
Woodruff is letting go of this one-of-one McLaren 600LT 1016 Industries build for $232,000. It was listed at Gas Motor Cars, but someone might have already bought it at press time since it's already missing on the website.
