Ty Majeski will start Saturday’s NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race at Richmond (Va.) Raceway from pole position.
The ThorSport Racing driver turned a fast lap of 22.689 seconds (119 mph) in his No. 98 Ford during qualifying at the .75-mile track on Friday night.
Series points leader Corey Heim will join Majeski on the front row in his No. 11 TRICON Garage entry after placing second in qualifying with a 22.741-second (118.728 mph) lap.
Heim’s teammate, William Sawalich, trailed behind in third with a 22.839-second (118.219 mph) lap.
ThorSport’s Ben Rhodes was fourth, while Kyle Busch Motorsports’ Matt Mills was fifth. Notably, this weekend marks the first of two starts that Mills will make in the No. 51 KBM Chevrolet this season. He will also pilot the No. 51 entry at The Milwaukee Mile on Aug. 27.
Christian Eckes, Tanner Gray, Matt Crafton, Chase Purdy and Matt DiBenedetto completed the top 10.
The full Truck Series field will take the green for the Worldwide Express 250 at 7:30 p.m. (ET).
