And this one is up for grabs right now.
A pristine 2004 Lamborghini Gallardo has come up for sale on Bring A Trailer, sporting a six-speed gated manual shifter that has made CarBuzz staffers weak at the knees.
Modern supercars are weapons of speed with turbochargers, rapid-firing dual-clutch automatics, and electronically power-assisted steering. Their performance capabilities can be so easily and efficiently extracted that they've lost the emotion supercars once conveyed. Even McLaren realized the 750S needed more emotion to rival Ferrari. But imbuing modern supercars with emotion through sound will only go so far; instead, we'd like to suggest the antidote to modern supercar anesthesia is to turn back the clock and purchase this Lamborghini Gallardo, with a six-speed gated manual gearbox and a 5.0-liter naturally aspirated V10.

As the predecessor to the Huracan Evo, the Gallardo marked a new era for Lamborghini, becoming the best-selling Lamborghini ever when it ended production in 2013, although the Huracan quickly usurped that record. Beyond that, it's arguably the most beautiful Lamborghini model since the original Miura, and we maintain the early Gallardos were actually the most beautiful of all, with less fussiness and simple, flowing lines that have aged incredibly well.
Just look at the subtle Grigio Altair paintwork sported by this 2004 example and tell me modern Lambos look better; you can't, because they don't.
Back to the car, though.
Currently located in Ottawa, Canada, this 2004 Gallardo is an early example, meaning it had the 5.0-liter even-firing V10 engine producing 493 horsepower, 376 lb-ft of torque, and a soundtrack composed by the automotive gods themselves. And this one sings even louder since it features a Fabspeed Motorsport muffler bypass.

That soundtrack is made ever sweeter by the fact that this car has a six-speed manual gearbox, and by the fact that it's no garage princess, having been driven 55,000 kilometers (~34,000 miles) in its 19 years on the planet, 4,400 of those miles being added by its current owners since December 2020.
It retains its iconic 19-inch Cassiopeia wheels and has an active rear spoiler, xenon headlights, power-folding side mirrors, and, as a sign of its use, a small dent on the frunk lid.
Considering its mileage, however, the black interior looks pristine, with no visible damage to the Nero Perseus leather seats (which are power adjustable). The highlight here is the gated manual shifter, but it also features dual-zone climate control and has been retrofitted with a Bluetooth-equipped touchscreen from a later Gallardo.

The current owners also had some mechanical work done during their time with the car, with the brake sensor wires being recently repaired, the power steering gear replaced in 2022, and the clutch redone in 2021.
The all-wheel-drive supercar includes all its original equipment in the sale, which means the old mufflers, power steering componentry, factory stereo, and replacement brake components. They're even including replacement undercarriage panels in light of the fact the current ones have been damaged when removing the mufflers.
While it is located in Canada, the car has a clean US Carfax report. Bidding ends in three days, with the bid standing at $60,000 at the time of writing. Considering a new Huracan Evo costs upwards of $200,000, this might be an absolute bargain and the perfect antidote to boring modern supercars.
