The Ministry of Finance (MoF) is currently running a public survey related to the targeted subsidy programme. The deadline for the survey ends on 30-August-2022.
According to Free Malaysia Today (FMT), the ministry said the survey was to ensure that subsidies provided by the government could fully benefit the target group.
It is also a new approach MoF is adopting as part of a series of public consultation papers (PCP). This is to make the annual budget preparation process more transparent and to ensure it involves all parties.
Besides that, MoF is also confident that the publication of these PCPs will also provide more opportunities for stakeholders to give their feedback.
It will also enable the government to formulate an annual budget that meets the needs of the people and ensure that it is in line with the country’s socio-economy development policy.
Anybody wishing to contribute to the survey can find it here.
