The new model is scheduled to make its public debut in June. Based on the license plate shown in the official imagery, the vehicle is expected to be marketed in China as the Maextro S800 “Collector’s Edition.” The Maextro S800 Grand Design features a two-tone exterior, combining a “Far Mountain Cyan” upper body with a white lower section. To emphasise its “Grand Design” status, the vehicle is adorned with extensive gold detailing. This includes a prominent gold hood ornament, a vertical gold trim strip running down the centre of the front hood, and gold-finished logos on the fenders, C-pillars, wheels, and rear tailgate. In terms of dimensions, the Maextro S800 Grand Design measures 5480 mm in length, 2000 mm in width, and 1536 mm (or 1542 mm depending on configuration) in height, with a wheelbase of 3370 mm. Additional cameras integrated into the B-pillars suggest that the S800 will feature Huawei’s latest Qiankun ADS 5.0 driving assistance system. The car sits on Arisun brand tyres with “pie-style” luxury wheels. The Maextro S800 Grand Design will offer both Extended Range Electric Vehicle (EREV) and Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) powertrains: EREV Version: This model utilises a 1.5T range extender with a maximum power of 127 kW. It is paired with a triple-motor system delivering 160 kW (215 hp), 237.5 kW (318 hp), and 237.5 kW (318 hp), respectively. It offers a pure electric range of 276 km under WLTC conditions. BEV Version: The pure electric variant is powered by a Huawei dual-motor setup, with power outputs of 160 kW (215 hp) and 230 kW (308 hp).
