One day before its debut on March 5, BYD officially released official interior design photos of its first D-segment flagship SUV, the Tang, under the Dynasty series. Compared to previous interiors in the Dynasty series, the interior design of the Tang has undergone a comprehensive upgrade. According to the official images, the Tang adopts a 2+2+3 seven-seat layout, and the wraparound cockpit design in the front row enhances comfort to a certain extent. Looking first at the front cockpit, the dashboard features a multi-layered design. In addition to the fully digital instrument cluster in front of the driver and the large floating center control screen, the passenger seat is equipped with an embedded entertainment screen for the first time, achieving a “triple-screen interaction” digital cockpit layout that caters to both driving information and passenger entertainment needs. The second row of the BYD Tang features a roof-mounted screen. To meet users’ family travel needs, considerable thought has been given to the second-row configuration of the Tang. Firstly, the back of the front seats are each equipped with a small table board to meet work or dining needs. A built-in car refrigerator is located behind the center console, further enhancing the travel experience. Additionally, a roof-mounted screen is installed on the ceiling, allowing users to enjoy audio and video entertainment during the journey. It is worth mentioning that the second-row seats in the new car also support one-button adjustment to zero-gravity mode. Combined with the wide aviation headrests, this ensures riding comfort. The second row of the BYD Tang is equipped with zero-gravity seats. The riding experience in the third row has also not been overlooked. From the official images, both side door panels in the third row of the Tang are equipped with individual cup holders and spaces for placing phones. The headrests feature a design with two larger ones and one smaller one, accommodating the needs of three passengers. The third-row seats of the BYD Tang It is reported that in addition to the luxurious interior, the Tang will also be equipped with BYD’s new “black technology.” The new car will continue to offer both pure electric and plug-in hybrid dual-power versions. The pure electric version will adopt a 1000V high-voltage architecture across the board, paired with a 10C charging rate flash-charge battery and a 1000A charging current. It is expected to achieve a maximum charging power of 1000kW. In terms of power, the pure electric version offers a 300kW rear-drive, a 370kW rear-drive, and a dual-motor all-wheel-drive version, with the all-wheel-drive version achieving a combined power of 585kW. The plug-in hybrid version will be equipped with the latest hybrid system, with a comprehensive range expected to exceed 1200 kilometers. According to the plan, the new car will be officially unveiled tomorrow and will go on sale and be delivered in April. In terms of dimensions, the Tang measures 5302/1999/1800mm in length, width, and height, with a wheelbase of 3130mm. Upon its launch, it will directly compete with the Li L9 and the AITO M9.
