According to Consumer Reports, it’s not the best time to buy the 2022 Kia Sorento. That’s because prices are currently raging out of control. The Sorento is available for about 18 percent over its MSRP!
The entry-level Sorento starts at about $33,990 but has an average transaction price of $40,162. These models are going for about $6,172 over MSRP. People are paying significantly more for vehicles that are in high demand.
It may seem worth the extra cash to get behind the wheel of your dream vehicle, despite leading to great depreciation rates over time. However, for some vehicles, Consumer Reports recommends seeking a more suitable, plentiful alternative instead.
Kia Sorento alternatives include the Jeep Grand Cherokee, Toyota Highlander, and Honda Pilot. The Kia Telluride and Hyundai Palisade are suitable alternatives too, but they also have incredibly high markups.
