- More teasers of new V12 Vantage released
- Set to be the final V12 fitted to a Vantage
- 2022 launch likely
Aston Martin is continuing to ramp up anticipation of the V12 Vantage’s return, this time releasing a teaser of the upcoming two-door which gives us a glimpse of the car’s design.
Set to be the last 12-cylinder Aston Martin Vantage ever produced, the teaser shows a blurred shot of the front of the new V12 Vantage next to the original 2009 model. While not the clearest shot, the new model appears to have a different grille compared to the current V8 Vantage.
If we go off previous spy shots, we’ve seen a large front grille flanked by air intakes that will help for increased cooling demand, along with new cooling cut-outs in the bonnet for that thumping V12 heat.

As before, we can also hear the new model from the video Aston Martin posted on social media, sounding a lot like the 5.2-litre twin-turbo V12 used elsewhere in Aston’s stable.
With the standard Vantage housing Mercedes-Benz’s ubiquitous bi-turbo V8, the new V12 will likely be the most powerful non-electrified Vantage ever, producing north of 500kW.
It is all but confirmed this will be Aston’s last V12 Vantage and it should be fully revealed early next year, with the manufacturer beginning its wind down into electrification and hybrid cars to meet tightening emissions regulations.
Beyond the new V12 model, the Vantage is due for a facelift in 2022. The updated model will be part of Aston’s ‘Project Horizon’ going forwards, which includes a DBX Coupe and the Valhalla supercar.
