Start your pun counter right meow!
I’m the proud father of two cats, Jellie and Miles. They’re mischevious, sleep a lot, and don’t mind that I take hundreds of pictures of them. If they weren’t so terrified of the outside world, I’d take them on road trips, to run errands and every place in between. Sadly, they paws at the front door and watch me leave the house, get into a car, and drive away.
This tail would be different if they were braver, or maybe if they had been introduced to the Chrysler Pacifica.
This year, for National Pet Day on April 11th, Chrysler is celebrating with the Pacifica. The minivan is often marketed as a family-friendly vehicle, but Chrysler is showcasing six features that can also translate into pet-friendly features.
- Rear-seat reminders: In case you can’t hear the meowing or barking (or both) animal in the minivan — because the music is too loud — you’ll be alerted with a chime and cluster message once you turn the van off and before you exit.
- FamCAM: The official song of the FamCAM interior camera should be “Every Breath You Take” by The Police. At leash you can keep an eye on your furry friends to see what trouble they’re causing or how cute they’re being.
- Stow ‘n Go seating: One of the greatest marvels of automotive engineering in the modern automotive world is being able to turn over 4,000-litres of cargo space into an off-leash bark…err, park.
- Stow ‘n Go in-floor storage bins: It provides covered space for toys, food and treats, and full poop bags in case of an in-car accident.
- Stow ‘n Vac: This is the CTRL+Z of shedding pets that leave their fur in the most awkward places. And quite frankly, every car should have a vacuum.
- Hands-free sliding doors and liftgates: Who wants to fumble with a key FOB while carrying a pet? Show off your air-kicking skills and you’ll be the coolest pet owner on the block.
Whether it’s a woof or floof, a canine or nine-lives, or any pet for that matter, please take extra care of them when they’re in the car. The Chrysler Pacifica is a great option for pets and boasts a Top Safety Pick+ rating from the IIHS, meaning paws and claws are safe and sound in this minivan. Additionally, you can buy a Mopar pet kennel that can help safely transport the fluffiest family members.
