The next-gen Hyundai Venue is said to be internally codenamed Q2Xi.
Hyundai recently acquired General Motors’ Talegaon plant. The factory will come online in 2025 and the first car to roll out of the newly acquired facility will be the second-generation Venue.
The upcoming Venue is said to be internally codenamed Q2Xi, where ‘i’ stands for India. Besides this, little is known about the next-gen Venue. However, we can expect several cosmetic changes based on Hyundai’s current design philosophy.
Currently, the Venue is available in five variants, while the N Line version is available in N6 and N8 trims. The crossover is offered with three engine options. These include 1.2-litre petrol, 1.0-litre turbo-petrol and a 1.5-litre diesel unit.
The Venue is positioned in a hotly contested space of the market. It competes with other sub-4 meter SUVs like the Kia Sonet, Maruti Brezza, Mahindra XUV300 and the Tata Nexon, which is due to get a major makeover soon.
