The all-new 2023 Toyota Vios is set for a global debut this August 9, and Toyota Thailand has provided the world with its first set of teasers.
The B-segment sedan, known as the Yaris Ativ in Thailand is expected to migrate to a Daihatsu-based (DNGA) platform and for that will take on the D92A product codename.
As pointed out by several spy shots (

), the all-new Vios looks to feature an angular design with a sharp front end, slim LED headlights, and even sequential turn signal indicators.
Inside, the Vios takes a big departure from the rest of its siblings with a very Mazda-esque interior. A free-standing infotainment screen is front and center, while the color scheme looks bold with tons of red being used. That said, several interior elements are shared with its Daihatsu-based siblings including the three-spoke steering wheel, shifter, and even AC controls.
Of course, Toyota has kept the mechanical details under wraps, but it’s expected that for Thailand, at least, it’ll be offered with a 1.2-liter 4-cylinder engine allowing it to take part in their Eco Car program. For export markets though, it will likely have a carryover 1.5-liter 4-cylinder engine alongside a 1.5-liter 3-cylinder hybrid. It might even stand to get the Raize’s turbocharged 1.0-liter too.
Whatever the case, the all-new 2023 Vios is set to drop in just a few weeks’ time. Excited?
