In comparison, the Toyota Innova Crysta VX variant is approximately Rs 97,000 cheaper than the VX variant of the Toyota Innova Hycross. However, this price difference is increased to Rs 3.65 lakh (approx.) for the ZX variants.

It is also worth mentioning that the VX and ZX variants of the Toyota Innova Hycross come with the Strong Hybrid powertrain. This is also one of the reasons for the VX and ZX variants of the Innova Hycross to be more expensive than the Innova Crysta.
Speaking about the re-launched Toyota Innova Crysta, the MPV has also received a minor update as part of the re-launch. Some of the noticeable changes include a redesigned grille and front bumper.

Powering the Toyota Innova Crysta MPV is a tried-and-tested 2.4-litre, 4-cylinder, turbocharged, diesel engine. However, this engine has now been updated to comply with the latest BS6 Phase 2 norms.
This turbo-diesel engine in the Toyota Innova Crysta MPV puts out 148bhp of peak power and 360Nm of peak torque. Furthermore, the Toyota Innova Crysta MPV now comes exclusively with a 5-speed manual transmission.
Thoughts About The Toyota Innova Crysta
Toyota very well understands the demand for the diesel-powered Innova Crysta MPV in India. Furthermore, some Indian buyers prefer the rugged feel of the Innova Crysta over the more sophisticated feel offered by the Innova Hycross.
That being said, we expect the Innova Crysta to do well in the Indian market despite the existence of the newer Innova Hycross. We also expect such a product placement to help Toyota retain customers by offering two very different MPVs around the same price bracket.
