Besides the breathtaking pace, it also looks as intimidating as the snarl emanating from those quad-exit tailpipes. The new DBX707 demonstrates that you don’t have to choose between the practicality of an SUV and the performance of a high-end sports car – you can have both.

The 2022 Aston Martin DBX707 price starts at $232,000, making it substantially more expensive than the regular DBX ($176,900). Of course, it justifies that with its extra power and an array of other enhancements.
As far as rivals go, the closest SUV from Porsche is the Cayenne Turbo GT which will cost you $180,800. The Porsche isn't as powerful or expensive, but it has an identical 0-60 mph time. Bentley sells a W12-powered version of the Bentayga called the Speed with a slightly higher MSRP. It's not as quick, but it's got the prestige and presence to compete with the more dynamic Aston Martin.

Yes, calling this the most attractive SUV in the world is a bold and entirely subjective statement, but what other SUV looks as good as this one? The Aston Martin DBX707 exterior is a work of art. The bodywork has been beefed up to match the greater performance. In front, there is a larger grille – which Aston says has been enlarged to increase airflow to the V8 and new nine-speed gearbox – and a fresh- design for the daytime running lights. The air intakes and front splitter profile are also new. That grille also boasts six horizontal bars.
Elsewhere, there are new louvered blades on the hood, and 23-inch alloy wheels are available. Smaller 22-inch wheels are standard, and the tire brand is Pirelli with a set of P Zero rubber. At the back, there is a much bigger twin rear diffuser along with a quad exhaust system, plus a new lip spoiler. Some may find it a bit brash compared to the standard model, but we think it looks fantastic.
Available Aston Martin DBX707 colors include Racing Line, Satin, and Signature Metallics, along with brake calipers that can be painted in colors such as red, bronze, or orange.

Aston Martin DBX707 Engine And Performance: Unrivaled Power
The DBX707's performance specs are astonishing. While the Aston Martin DBX707 engine is the same basic one used in the regular DBX V8, the 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 has been reworked to unleash 697 horsepower and 663 lb-ft of torque. That's a massive 155 hp and 147 lb-ft more than the normal DBX V8. Among the changes are the implementation of ball bearing turbos and a unique engine calibration. The revised V8 is paired with a new nine-speed automatic with a wet plate clutch, which provides faster shifts than a torque converter transmission.
All of this combines for a 0-60 mph time of only 3.1 seconds, and the fun doesn't abate until the DBX707 reaches its top speed of 193 mph. A new electronic limited-slip rear differential has been strengthened to handle the massive torque output.
Already a superbly balanced SUV, the 2022 DBX707 can transfer 100% of its torque to the rear axle when required. The air suspension has been uniquely tuned for this application, with new damper valving and recalibration of the dynamic spring volume. The steering has also been tuned for better responsiveness. There are several drive modes to choose from, with Race Start enhancing acceleration off the mark.
Reining in all that power is easy because the DBX707 has standard carbon ceramic brakes measuring 16.5 inches in front and 15.4 inches at the back. Unsprung weight is reduced by 89 pounds thanks to these brakes.
Mpg ratings have not yet been revealed, but we expect the big SUV to be quite thirsty.
Aston Martin DBX707 Interior And Cargo
Like the exterior, the Aston Martin DBX707 interior is a thing of beauty. It has been modified to reflect the SUV’s high-performance intentions. The Aston Martin DBX707 has seats that will suit all shapes and sizes. In front, Sport Plus seats are standard and are 16-way power-adjustable. Seats are heated both front and rear, and material choices include leather/Alcantara and semi-aniline leather. Carbon fiber trim is available, and the switchgear has a dark chrome finish. As standard, the DBX707 comes with three-zone automatic climate control, keyless entry, a 360-degree camera system, front/rear parking sensors, an infotainment touchpad controller and dial, and wireless charging. The 12.3-inch driver information display is matched by a 10.25-inch central display. Seated inside this cabin, the DBX707 feels and looks very special indeed.
Less impressive is the Aston Martin DBX707's cargo space. Behind the second row, the cargo area measures 22.3 cubic feet. That's more than you'd get in a large sedan, but nowhere near as much as many other SUVs offer. Clearly, the emphasis here has been on performance and style rather than outright practicality.
