New hypercar maker Bugatti Rimac has outlined plans for its first full year of operation – and confirmed it is currently looking for staff.
The manufacturer is the product of a recent multimillion-dollar merger between prestigious Volkswagen subsidiary Bugatti and Croatian electric start-up Rimac.
In an overnight statement, the marque confirmed Achim Anscheidt – Bugatti’s former design director – would move into the same role in the new company.
However, it added: “Positions are available for Concept Chief Engineer, Head of High-Voltage Systems and Components, Head of Fine Mechanics, as well as design roles with specific focus on interior, exterior and VR.”
Mate Rimac, CEO at Bugatti Rimac, said: “Our team is expanding day by day, and Bugatti Rimac GmbH represents an opportunity for the very best in the industry to join us, demonstrate their skills, and be part of a company that’s re-defining the hypercar.”
The new company will be based out of a yet to be completed ‘Rimac Campus’ near Zagreb in Croatia, and will operate several outposts including an innovation hub in Berlin. While product plans are yet to be announced, the company has previously indicated the first car will likely be hybridised.
However, the association with Rimac – which currently builds the world’s quickest electric car – suggests a zero-emissions Bugatti-badged car is all but inevitable in the future.
