Porsche- Porsche partners with Chicago-based Pretty Cool Ice Cream to celebrate National Ice Cream Day.
- Porsche and Pretty Cool Ice Cream will have five Porsche-inspired treats available on Sunday, July 17, 2022.
- Porsche says that these frozen treats will also be available at exclusive Porsche events later this year.
Porsche is venturing into the coolest type of food: ice cream. In honor of the very-real National Ice Cream Day, the team at Porsche collaborated with the Chicago-based Pretty Cool Ice Cream to come up with special frozen treats. Going for the most obvious route, the folks at Porsche tapped into their paint color names for inspiration for the flavors and incorporated cars from throughout the company’s history on the packaging.
According to Porsche, the colors and flavors are as follows:
- Mint Green: a green mint cookies and cream ice cream with a mint green white chocolate shell.
- Strawberry Red: cream Cheese ice cream dipped in a strawberry-red shell and made with real freeze-dried strawberries.
- Macadamia Metallic: roasted macadamia ice cream in a sparkling macadamia metallic-colored chocolate shell.
- Frozen Berry Metallic: black raspberry ice cream in a sparkling frozen berry-colored chocolate shell.
- Lime Gold Metallic: key lime pie ice cream in a sparkling lime-gold-colored caramel shell.
There is some bad news. As you’d expect with ice cream, you’ll probably have to live close to Pretty Cool Ice Cream’s Chicago stores to taste these limited-edition flavors, at least on National Ice Cream Day. If you just can’t justify flying to Chicago to eat ice cream, Porsche says it will make these frozen treats available at exclusive events later this year.
There’s no word on price, but a quick scan of Pretty Cool Ice Cream’s online store shows that their dairy treats cost around $6.00. If you’re a Chicago-based Porsche fan, you should probably head to Pretty Cool Ice Cream on Sunday, July 17, 2022.
