More of bespoke Vision AMG teased, this time it's a close-up of its sculptured body and special livery
Mercedes-AMG has posted yet more teasers of its upcoming Vision AMG Concept, with the latest Instagram uploads showing off its curvaceous body.
Thought to be possibly an indirect all-electric replacement to the much-delayed Mercedes-AMG ONE hypercar, the new close-up shots appear to show off the AMG’s rear shoulders, A-pillar, rakish front screen, diminutive rear-view camera and striking Silver Arrow livery.
Earlier teases have also show off the Vision AMG’s wild teardrop-shaped and unusual snub-nose that all suggest at an advanced range-boosting aero package.
No other information has been released with the Vision AMG teases so far but it’s hotly tipped that the all-electric concept will be based on AMG’s dedicated EA architecture.
Specially developed for high-performance supercars and hypercars the EA platform is both stiff, rigid and lightweight and could package a development of the radical ultra-high-performance axial-flux electric motors that have already been previewed by the Mercedes Concept EQG.
It so, the AMG Vision could come with four electric motors and a new two-speed performance that enhances acceleration while maximising top speed. The Vision AMG is expected to come with a reduced range of around 300-400km with batteries that can both discharge power quickly while being capable of charging with ultra-fast chargers.
More teases are expected in the build-up to the Vision AMG’s debut.
