Latest track toy for the rich was developed by motorsport specialist Dallara and produces 544kW
Newly-established 777 Motors has unwrapped its first creation, the 777 Hypercar aimed at billionaire track-day fans.
Just seven examples will be produced and each will be priced at an eye-watering $US7.6 million ($A11.1m).
The latest digital renderings of the 777 Hypercar are said to be close to the production version, which will be a track-only rival for the McLaren Senna GTR and upcoming Ferrari FXX K Evo.
Founded by entrepreneur car and collector Andrea Levy, 777 Motors says the hard-core track car was inspired by the current breed of endurance racers.
The exterior is the work of Turin designer Umberto Palermo and the car’s wild aerodynamic package was developed without any FIA restrictions.
The key technical partner for the project is motorsport specialist Dallara, which supplied the FIA-approved full carbon-fibre monocoque chassis on which the 777 Hypercar is based.
The same Italian engineering specialist also honed both the aerodynamics and worked with Gibson Technologies to develop the 777’s wild 4.5-litre V8, which produces 544kW at a heady 9000rpm and runs on synthetic fuel.
Weighing in at just 900kg, the 777 Hypercar is claimed to have a 370km/h top speed, at which point the huge aero package produces an incredible 2100kg of downforce.
According to 777, the Hypercar can corner at between 3.5 and 4.0g.
The forces involved are so great that all owners who buy it will have to endure a tailor-made physical and technical training program including the use of a simulator before they can drive the real car.
And each 777 Hypercar will remain at the brand’s new Monza HQ, which owners can visit whenever they want, as well as being given exclusive access to the iconic Monza circuit throughout the year at exclusive events.
Around the Monza F1 circuit, the 777 Hypercar is said to be capable of a 1:33sec lap time – just 20 seconds slower than a 2021 F1 car.
