The 2023 Honda Odyssey comes with some noticeable improvements over its predecessors. Starting at $37,340, this new Odyssey, dubbed the Odyssey Sport, provides sportier exterior and interior styling than previous models. Like 2022 and earlier versions, the Sport trim is a three-row minivan, and it comes with a 3.5-liter V6 engine (generating 280 hp), 10-speed automatic transmission, and FWD.
But unlike other trims, the Odyssey Sport stands out with glossy black exterior trim, wheels, and taillights. The same glory trim engulfs the headlights, door mirrors, and grille. The inside of the Odyssey Sport is adorned in black leather, contrasted by a sporty red on the seats. Additionally, the Sport features an innovative child viewing system that allows those in the front seat to keep track of kids in the back.

Feature-wise, the Sport is equipped similarly to the Odyssey’s EX-L trim. Sport owners will be graced with 8-way adjustable power front seating, a moonroof, an 8-inch touchscreen, and a power tailgate. It also comes with Honda Sensing – Honda’s advanced safety feature suite that includes adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alerts, and lane-keeping assistance.
Finally, the Odyssey Sport is distinguished by the inclusion of the brand new Honda Service Pass, a new service being introduced this year.

Honda Service Pass is a maintenance plan covering two years or 24,000 miles, whichever comes first. Owners can receive complimentary oil and filter changes, tire rotations, and more for that period.
It should be noted that Honda Service Pass does not cover every maintenance service. It only covers select items in the Odyssey Sport’s Maintenance Minder system. And your Odyssey Sport must be serviced at a participating dealership.
Provided owners take advantage of them, such service plans can help lower a vehicle’s total ownership costs. A regularly maintained car has less chance of serious—and expensive—repair down the road. For example, a common cause of engine damage stems from motorists failing to change their oil regularly. And engine repairs are among the most expensive a car owner will face.
Honda’s standard warranty coverage covers serious repairs in the early years of ownership. That includes a 3-year or 36,000-mile limited warranty and a 5-year or 60,000-mile powertrain limited warranty.

If you’re not entirely sold on the Odyssey Sport, you can take advantage of the Honda Service Pass on another vehicle. This new service plan now comes complimentary on all new 2023 Honda models.
That’s great news for prospective Honda buyers. It’s also great news for brand-loyal Honda buyers, gingerly considering buying their first EV. According to Car and Driver, Honda plans to introduce 30 EVs by 2030. Some people think EVs are more expensive to maintain, but this is not the case.
