The test car has seen less than a hundred miles, and the Hondata guys aren’t too sure of the quality of the fuel, so the first round of tuning has been rather conservative, but the outcome is still very impressive. After a few pulls on the dyno, the graph shows a linear power increase across the board with between 18 and 37 horses gained, mainly over the mid-range. Torque also takes a massive leap, and increases by between 40 and 50 lb-ft across the midrange, skyrocketing from just past 2,000 rpm, and holding on nicely until about 5,500 rpm. This little motor has a lot of potential, and we can’t wait to see what numbers guys push with an upgraded turbo and some exhaust work.
