If you think supercars can only take on the smooth roads, this video will change your view
The thought of off-roading in a sports car is scarier itself than the actual act of doing it. Unlike SUVs and even some of the sedans, sports cars don’t have the required ground clearance and tyres, which puts the thought of off-roading in them on the backseat.
But if you’re an owner of a supercar in India, the car will need to tackle the potholes, broken roads and even off-roads at one point or another. Here is a video that shows how it is done.
In the video by “Malwa Supercars Club” on Instagram, we can see some potent and highly desirable and super expensive supercars crawling on their pathway on an off-road trail. There is no sign of tarmac on the trail. Instead, it gets dry mud and leaves on it. A supercar seldom leaves the tarmac.
Supercars crawling on dirt
Here is a supercar line-up, that comfortably crawls over the off-road trail without breaking a sweat. This lineup of supercars includes some of the most desirable ones out there. It includes the likes McLaren 570S Spider, Porsche 718 Boxster, Mini Cooper S Convertible, Ford Mustang, Audi A3 Cabriolet, Skoda Octavia vRS and Audi TT. The convoy also includes a couple of sporty SUVs like the Lamborghini Urus and Mercedes-AMG GLE Coupe, which are actually made for such terrains.
The sports cars mentioned above have an altogether different purpose of offering you the thrills of driving fast on open stretches of highways or race tracks. However, the fact that these sports car comfortably crawled over the off-road trail show that despite having a low ground clearance, shows the experience of the drivers behind the wheels. The sports cars mentioned above have powerful engines with power outputs ranging between 200-650 PS.
A common sight on Indian roads
Most supercar owners are stuck inside the city limits of the country. The brave ones who leave these limits without doing recce face a lot of challenges. In the above video by Manish Asrani, you can see a group of Lamborghini owners going way out of the way to avoid a speed breaker on the middle of the road.
Many of these cars get an option to raise the suspension and tackle such road surfaces.
However, these sports cars drivers perfectly showcased this rare skill of these sports cars and showed that they are not impossible to drive on such trails.
