This one-off build by Thailand-based K-Speed Customs Is Unlike Any Other SuperCub you’ve seen before
Honda’s Super Cub 110 may not be a popular name in our country but with over 10 crore global sales under its belt, it’s a very established name in international markets, especially in Southeast Asian countries.
Owing to its popularity, Thailand-based custom bikemaker K-Speed has customised over 70 of these in various avatars. And the latest one is a retro-looking dapper build.
Aesthetics & Features
Thailand-based K-speed customs has introduced a special souped-up Honda Super Cub
For this build, the folks at K-speed have transformed the C125 completely. The overall aesthetic isn’t vastly different from the stock two-wheeler, though, and gets chunky body panels all-around.
The Cargo Cub comes with chunky sawtooth tyres
Dubbed the ‘Cargo Cub’, the custom C125 gives proper retro scooter vibes. The broad fascia with two bulb-type lights (which look like its eyes), the swoopy chrome handlebar, and the dual-tone paint scheme, all make it look quite dapper, in an old-school type of way.
For practicality, the Cargo Cub gets a removable wooden box
K-speed has thrown on some chunky fork covers up front, white grips, and new rear fenders, further amping things up.
And since this is, after all, a practical two-wheeler, you get a luggage rack at the rear with a spacious (and removable) wooden box to store stuff.
All this is topped off by a set of beefy sawtooth tyres wrapped around new 17-inch spoke wheels.
The feature-list is basic, though, to keep the retro feel intact
On the feature-side of things, the Cargo Cub, unlike its stock self, is quite basic. You only get bulb-type lights LED indicators, and an aftermarket analogue instrument cluster.
Underpinnings
It’s called the Cargo Cub and gets numerous special components like these retro twin-pod headlights
Underneath its dapper self, the Cargo Cub is essentially the same as the Super Cub 110. It is powered by the same 124cc, single-cylinder motor, mated to a four-speed gearbox. While the engine is stock, the exhaust is an aftermarket unit made by K-speed itself.
Coming to suspension, the Cargo Cub is sprung on a telescopic fork up front (same as the stock two-wheeler) while boasting custom dual shock absorbers at the rear.
Can You Buy It?
K-speed has also given it new dual shock absorbers at the rear
To conclude, this is certainly an epic build that surely ticks all the right boxes from good looks to practicality. However, being a custom build, the Cargo Cub isn’t really on sale. But you can always head to K-speed in Thailand to transform your Super Cub into something similar. Or perhaps something even exciting.
