2022 Honda NSX Type S: what is it?
The modern-day Honda NSX supercar arrives as a bit of a forerunner in hybrid tech in ‘mainstream’ supercars. A trio of electric motors and all-wheel drive make it a seriously impressive machine on challenging roads, but the car has never sold in great numbers. This more potent Type S is something of a swan song for this car.

Nothing has been confirmed, but we’d bet our houses on the same twin-turbocharged 3.5-litre V6 and trio of electric motors featuring. Honda has confirmed that there will be a power increase from the standard 573bhp, not to mention a series of chassis tweaks.
2022 Honda NSX Type S: when will it be on sale?
The Honda NSX Type S will be revealed in August 2021 with order books opening soon after. You’ll need to be fast though, just 350 of these cars will be available globally.

No official word has been given on pricing at this point, but it will be a premium over the current £150k of the existing model. Depending upon how exotic its modifications are, you could be looking at around £170,000 – still good value next to the equivalent Ferrari.
