UMW Toyota Motor has just published its sales performance report for March 2022, recording a total sale of 8,386 units for the Toyota brand, and 101 units for Lexus.
The figure represents a 32% and 53% increase in sales over February for the two brands respectively. As a whole, total sales for the first quarter of 2022 reached 22,447 units, which is incidentally also a 32% increase over the same period last year.
The company attributes the positive growth in sales to its ongoing promotions, including value added benefits worth RM4,000 for its two best-selling models, the Vios and Yaris.
UMW Toyota is also anticipating a further boost in its sales figures thanks to new product launches later in the year, which it says will offer “best value of money deals to its customers, along with top-of-the-line security features and enhanced performance”. Could it be the highly-rumoured all-new Toyota Veloz?
Commenting on the parts supply shortage that has plagued its productions, UMW Toyota Motor President, Ravindran K. said, “We are constantly reviewing and adapting to the changing circumstances and uncertainties. We are working closely with our suppliers and monitoring the developments closely to ensure minimal impact to our production and our customers.”
“As we transform towards sustainable mobility, Toyota aims to leave no one behind as we continue to beat the forefront in offering value for money innovations equipped with technological advancements and state-of-the-art safety features across all our products,” he added.
In conjunction with the months of Ramandan and Syawal, UMW Toyota Motor is offering a chance for customers to win ‘duit raya‘ with the new Pandu Uji dan Menang Duit Raya contest, as part of its Bersama Lebih Bermakna celebrations.
From now until the 1 May 2022, each test drive at any Toyota showroom will represent one contest entry to win RM100, while a successful vehicle booking will give the participant a chance to receive RM200 duit raya. A total of 30 winners will be selected weekly.
In addition, the celebrations will also include a Ramadan Weekender event on the 16th and 17th April at all Toyota outlets nationwide, where the company will be offering exclusive ‘bulan puasa‘ deals and value added offers, in addition to exclusive free gifts when you test drive a vehicle.
