Toyota’s version of the Maruti Fronx could be called the ‘Taisor’.
According to a media report, Toyota is likely to introduce a rebadged version of the Maruti Suzuki Fronx later this year. The crossover could be called the ‘Taisor’ and is expected to be launched around the festive season.
The Fronx was unveiled at Auto Expo 2023, before being launched in the Indian market in April this year. It is based on the Heartect platform, shared with the Baleno.
Toyota’s version of the Fronx is expected to get minor cosmetic updates, including a revised front grille and bumper. The interior could be largely identical and will come equipped with a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, automatic climate control, a 360-degree camera and a heads-up display.
The Fronx is available with two engine options that are likely to be shared with Taisor. These include a 1.2-litre petrol that makes 89 BHP and 113 Nm and a 1.0-litre turbo-petrol unit that puts out 99 BHP and 148 Nm. Transmission options include a 5-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic.
