The Land Cruiser 300 Series might be the talk of the town since its reveal, however the previous generation 200 Series (2007-2021) still has a huge loyal following. Russian tuner Khann International – not related with Project Kahn – has presented the Land Cruiser 200 Expedition as an off-road-focused tuning kit for Toyota’s iconic model, inspired by customer requests from Australia and the Middle East.
The Moscow-based aftermarket firm specializes in creating sporty bodykits for Toyota and Lexus models, but this time they presented something different. The Expedition kit is designed to communicate the adventurous spirit of the Land Cruiser while improving the already excellent off-road capabilities of the SUV.
Redesigned body panels based on the last facelift of the LC200 make it look tougher and more modern. At the front, there is a custom off-road bumper featuring a unique grille, protective plastic elements, and an LED light bar positioned above the Toyota emblem.
The vented bonnet is also new, with fluid dynamic lines. On the sides, Khann added wide fender extensions covering the chunky all-terrain tires fitted on black ten-spoke alloy wheels, side steps, and a rather well-integrated snorkel on the right side of the vehicle. Finally, at the back, there is a full-size spare wheel, and a new bumper with more plastic cladding for protection against rocks.
The kit is complemented by an orange body color contrasting the black roof, bodykit, and wheels. Khann hasn’t shared any details on the technical aspect of the Expedition package but it is obvious that it includes a lift kit for the suspension and a new set of wheels. Judging from the V8 emblem on the tailgate, the Land Cruiser Expedition is fitted with the 5.7-liter V8 petrol or the 4.5-liter V8 turbodiesel, but it is unclear if the tuner is planning to offer any performance upgrades.
Given that it could take years to take delivery of a brand new Land Cruiser 300, a fresh approach to the previous generation doesn’t seem like a bad idea, especially for existing owners that wanted something to spice up their vehicle. Khann International hasn’t announced pricing for the Expedition package besides stating that it is “coming soon”. However, judging from the numerous redesigned body panels and the chassis upgrades, we guess that it won’t come cheap.
