Together with the announcement of the September sales report, UMW Toyota Motor has announced that it has updated the Toyota Harrier for 2022, with a new variant included, the Toyota Harrier 2.0 Luxury SE. Prices of the 2022 Toyota Harrier are RM 274,000 for the Harrier 2.0 Luxury and RM 277,000 for the Harrier 2.0 Luxury SE.
The standard Harrier is now RM 15,000 more expensive than the pre-updated version. Now standard on the 2022 Toyota Harrier are 360° panoramic view cameras and a full suite of Toyota Safety Sense (TSS) advanced safety features. The TSS feature includes Pre-Collision Brake detection, Lane Departure Alert, and Dynamic Radar Cruise Control.
Dubbed the Toyota Harrier 2.0 Luxury 2022 Improvement (IMP), no changes have been made to the powertrain. The Harrier is still powered by the same 2.0-litre Dynamic Force four-cylinder engine that makes 173 hp @ 6,600 rpm and 203 Nm @ 4,400-4,900 rpm. Paired with the four-cylinder engine is a direct-shift CVT that sends all power to the front wheels.
UMW Motor President, Ravindran K. said, “At UMW Toyota Motor, we are humbled by the positive support received from our customers and are even more committed to going the ‘Extra Mile’ to intensify production and ensure timely delivery to new car owners. We are also delighted to showcase the new improvements made to the Toyota Harrier 2.0L Luxury 2022 Improvement (IMP) and hope this update gives drivers an exceptional experience every time they get behind the wheel because we understand that it’s all about the drive.”
More expensive than the Harrier 2.0 Luxury by RM 3,000 is the Harrier 2.0 Luxury SE (Special Edition). The Special edition gets a special red metallic exterior colour and brown leather for the interior and that’s about what differentiates it from the standard Harrier 2.0 Luxury.
These fresh updates enhance the current strengths the Toyota Harrier is known for – luxury, exclusivity, and reliability. To add to the excitement, a new variant has been added to the Harrier’s line up – the Toyota Harrier 2.0L Special Edition that comes in a special Red Metallic color to compliment the new luxurious Brown interior.
Inside, the Harrier is equipped with an eight-inch touchscreen head unit that supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and a seven-inch digital instrument cluster. The driver gets a 12-way power adjustable seat (with two memory positions) while the front passenger gets a four-way power adjustable seat. There are four USB-C charging sockets and one USB-C connection socket.
Included in the price of the Toyota Harrier is a five-year/unlimited mileage warranty.
