UMW Toyota Motor has introduced two additional services i.e. Toyota 24Seven Road Assist mobile app and Toyota Vehicle Telematics System, to Toyota customers. The introduction of these complementary services are meant to provide customers with added convenience and safety.
Toyota 24SEVEN Road Assist Mobile App
Mobility and connectivity have enabled Toyota to provide its customers with better assistance. For Toyota car owners, what used to be a call away for round-the-clock roadside assistance has evolved into the Toyota 24SEVEN Road Assist mobile application. An industry first, all it takes now is a few swipes on the phone to ask for immediate assistance, even for something as trivial as accidentally running out of fuel or getting a flat tyre. Just use the app to request for assistance and help will arrive. A key feature built into the 24SEVEN Road Assist app is an SOS button that provides real-time tracking. This gives you the ability to track the travel route and time of the assistance that is on the way to you. The assistance sent to you will come from a trusted Authorised Toyota Outlet or service provider.
You can also select your preferred Toyota Outlet to assist in a service that is offered 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, all year long, nationwide. The Toyota 24SEVEN Road Assist also offers free minor on-the-spot repairs and nationwide towing (up to 50 km) to all Toyota owners (terms and conditions apply).

Toyota Vehicle Telematics System
The Toyota Vehicle Telematics System (VTS) was introduced by the company in 2019 and has since been servicing many Toyota customers via the mobile application.
“Connected mobility is a concept that is revolutionizing the automotive industry and it essentially brings greater peace of mind with the ownership of a car. In the case of Toyota, the Toyota 24SEVEN Road Assist mobile application interphases with our Toyota Vehicle Telematics System that is built into our new generation of models. This enables the driver to form somewhat of a personal and unique relationship with his vehicle, an interaction that was never available 20 to 30 years ago,” said Ravindran K.
With VTS, your vehicle can be monitored via GPS so its location can be tracked via the mobile app. This not only helps the relevant authorities should there be a need for vehicle recovery, but the system is also able to detect impact. In the latter case, emergency services can be dispatched to the scene.
