After
teasing it last Easter Sunday
, Toyota Motor Philippines has confirmed the official launch date of the all-new Veloz. This is set for Friday, April 29, 2022. And yes, they’re actually positioning this 7-seater as a sub-compact SUV.
The carmaker says they are marketing the MPV SUV to customers looking for a bold and spacious ride for family members and friends.
“The upcoming introduction of the All-New Veloz marks another milestone for Toyota in the Philippines,” said Sherwin Chualim, TMP’s First Vice President for Vehicle Sales Operations. “Previously known as the top-grade variant of the Avanza compact MPV range, the Veloz has evolved to become a new standalone brand ready to claim its position as a sub-compact SUV of choice for customers seeking new adventures.”
All authorized Toyota dealers across the country will start accepting reservations for the all-new Veloz starting on Saturday, April 23 which will have a starting price of P 1,185,000 for the G grade. A V grade is also expected to join the line-up for P 1,225,000. Among the expected standard features include a 360-degree camera (something clear if you check the lead photo), although it is understood that only the V grade will get the Toyota Safety Sense system.
Toyota Motor Philippines will be holding a simultaneous nationwide launch of the Veloz through its social media accounts on April 29 at 11 AM. Moreover, customers can also check it out in person at the BGC Amphitheater from April 29 to May 1, or check out the displays at their nearest Toyota dealership also starting on April 29.
