Tiago EV Becomes Fastest Electric Vehicle to Record 10,000 Deliveries in India

With its fleet of exceptional EV models, Tata Motors has established itself as a prominent player in the Indian EV segment.Today, Tata Motors announced that it had achieved a milestone of delivering 10,000 units of the Tiago EV in less than four months, making it the fastest EV to achieve this feat.

This announcement follows the recent achievement of the Tiago EV becoming the ‘Fastest Booked EV in India,’ with 10,000 bookings received in 24 hours and 20,000 bookings by December 2022. With this feat, Tiago EV has disrupted the segment by reaching over 491 cities, covering 11.2 million km and saving 1.6 million grams of CO2.

Besides the eco-friendly footprint record, Tiago EV also offers many premium safety and technology features and has become a trendsetter for fun electric vehicles that has the ability to provide a superior driving experience.

According to Tata Motors, over 1200 Tiago EVs have covered a distance of more than 3000 km each, with over 600 cars having driven over 4000 km each on Indian roads, which indicates the product’s strong performance and reliability.

This is further enhanced by superior customer support, the availability of DC fast charging stations across the country, and the low ownership cost, making long journeys even more convenient for users.

Tiago.ev runs on the high voltage state-of-the-art Ziptron technology and emphasizes five critical aspects: Performance, Technology, Reliability, Charging, and Comfort. The car offers a digital personalized driving experience, with two drive modes: City & Sport and multi-regen.

Premium features like fully automatic climate control, projector headlamps, cruise control,auto-fold electric ORVMs, Auto Headlamps and Rain Sensing Wipers which are typically found only in higher-segment cars are offered in Tiago EV. Equipped with a galore of connected features, Tiago EV sets a benchmark in its category by offering telematics as a standard feature on all trims.

The latest ZConnect app offers over 45 connected car features, including remote AC control, car location tracking, smartwatch connectivity, vehicle health diagnostics, real-time charge status, and Dynamic charger locator, amongst others. Customers can also enjoy an 8-speaker Harman Infotainment System that supports Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.

The Tiago EV is offered in two variants; the MR (Medium Range) version is equipped with a 19.2kWh Lithium Ferrous Phosphate (LFP) battery and is paired with a 61hp electric motor, which can travel up to 257km on a single charge.

On the other hand, the LR (Long Range) version comes with a 24kWh LFP battery connected to a 75hp electric motor and can cover a distance of 315km on a single charge.

The car also provides four convenient charging solutions;15A plug point for hassle-free – anywhere, anytime- charging, standard 3.3kW AC charging, 7.2kW AC home fast charging, and DC Fast Charging
