The base of the entire customization work was a facelifted version of the first-generation Toyota Fortuner, which was sold in India between 2011 to 2016. As a part of the modification, the front fascia of the Toyota Fortuner receives a complete revamp.
The sleek LED headlamps with LED projectors and daytime running LEDs have been shared with the pre-facelift second-generation Fortuner, which sold in India between 2016-2020, popularly known as Type-3 Fortuner.
What caught our attention here at the front is the massive spindle-shaped grille with chrome surrounds. The grille looks very much like the grille seen in Lexus SUVs like RX and LX. The front bumper is also all-new and comes integrated with inverted L-shaped dual-functioning LED turn indicators.
There are changes on the sides as well. The Toyota Fortuner gets new front fenders with redesigned wheel arches towards the front and a new black finish for the alloy wheels. The entire SUV is repainted in a theme of Ivory White, which makes the SUV look brand new.

Like the front, the rear of the Toyota Fortuner also looks comprehensively different with sleeker-looking LED tail lamp clusters taken from the Type-3 Fortuner. To accommodate these tail lamps, the entire boot lid and rear bumper demanded comprehensive fabrication. However, we must say that the result looks flawless and gives the SUV a new identity.
It even gets an updated cabin
Not much has changed inside the cabin. The Toyota Fortuner has got a new dual-tone black and tan upholstery, with tan-coloured seats and a black-coloured roofline, all of which are now finished in composite leather. Though, the modification process on the inside is not as extensive as that carried out on the outside.
Cosmetic modifications are allowed
Such cosmetic changes and modifications that do not interfere with the structure of the are legal in India. However, adding that grille can fall under changing the identity of the car. It purely depends on the judgement of the cops or RTO personnel on duty. So be ready to face the consequences if you do get caught.
