This adorable electric truck is called the EV Truck MT30 and it has just gone on sale in Thailand. The new EV truck is priced between THB 748,500 (~RM 92k) to THB 766,500 (~RM 95k).
For context, that price puts the MT30 within ballpark of the in Thailand, which is priced between THB 599,000 (~RM 74k) to THB 849,000 (~RM 105k).
The MT30 is manufactured by MINE Mobility Corporation in Thailand; the very same company that’s responsible for the MINE SPA1. It is marketed as a direct rival to the Carry.
From the looks department, the MT30’s front fascia features a black trim that encompasses both headlights, giving it a design that is very reminiscent of the e.
Pastel-coloured models are THB 16,000 more
Power for the MT30 comes from a rear-mounted electric motor that does 82 PS and 200 Nm, juiced by a 30-kWh Lithium-ion battery pack. Top speed is rated at 100 km/h.
This 30-kWh battery pack allows the MT30 to boast a range of 202 km under the NEDC test cycle. Charging is done via a CCS2 port, which can do DC fast charging at 70 kW. If DC charging isn’t available, the MT30 also supports AC charging, up to 6.6 kW.
It takes 15 minutes to fast charge from 15 percent to 80 percent state-of-charge (SoC), while AC charging takes 4 hours and 40 minutes to fully charge.
While the MT30 lacks basic safety features like airbags and ABS, it does offer forward collision warning (FCW) and lane departure warning (LDW).
