The Trofeo 500AC offers an excellent blend of modern features and retro style, all while costing less than its rivals
Chinese-owned Italian company Voge has launched its fancy naked bike, the Trofeo 500AC, in Europe.
The 500AC was first unveiled in September 2020 at the China International Motor Expo, going on sale there soon after. Then, the bike’s Euro-5 iteration was showcased at the 2021 EICMA, which has now resulted in its European launch.
Voge Trofeo 500AC Design
The ‘AC’ in the bike’s name stands for ‘Advance Classic’ and this is exactly what the bike’s design reflects too.
The overall silhouette of the 500AC is quite retro, but it comes laden with modern elements like a full-LED headlight, a unique LED tail lamp, and alloy wheels which bring it in line with the current day and age.
The bike comes with many fine details like the unique LED headlight and indicators
Voge has also paid impressive attention to the finer details, which further enhance the bike’s aesthetics. These include the oval LED indicators, brawny protruding fuel tank, and a fancy mesh grill for the steel exhaust.
Voge Trofeo 500AC Features
As for features, Voge has equipped the 500AC with TPMS, smartphone connectivity, LED lights, and a USB port, all topped off by a TFT display
To further add a modern touch, Voge has equipped the 500AC with a fancy set of features comprising a TFT instrument cluster, a USB charging port, all-LED illumination, smartphone connectivity, and tire pressure monitoring system.
All these bits are usually unseen in this segment and certainly, give the Voge 500AC an edge over its rivals like the Honda CB500F.
In comparison, the CB500F gets only a negative LCD instrument cluster and all-LED illumination.
Voge Trofeo 500AC Engine & Specs
The bike is powered by a 471cc, parallel-twin engine putting out 47PS and 43Nm
The Voge 500AC draws power from a 471cc, parallel-twin engine producing 47PS and 43Nm. This engine comes mated to a six-speed gearbox and seems to be based on Honda’s 471cc motor which does duty on the CB500X, CB500F, and the CBR500R. If so, expect the engine to be quite punchy and refined.
Voge claims the 500AC can return a fuel efficiency of 24kmpl, which, with the bike’s 19-liter fuel tank, gives it a solid range of over 450km.
Meanwhile, braking is via two 298mm discs up front and a 240mm disc at the rear
Coming to the underpinnings, the Voge 500AC employs a steel tube chassis replete with upside-down 41mm KYB forks and a preload-adjustable mono-shock.
Besides, braking prowess comes via 298mm twin disc brakes at the front and a 240mm disc brake at the rear, both featuring ABS, which seem enough for the bike’s dry weight of 185kg.
Riding on 17-inch alloy wheels, the bike has a ground clearance of 165mm, which is quite decent.
Voge Trofeo 500AC Price
The motor sits in a steel tube chassis completed by 41mm KYB forks and an adjustable monoshock
The Voge Trofeo 500AC is listed at a price of 6,290 Euros (Rs 5.30 lakh). At this price, the 500AC undercuts its arch-rival by 200 Euros (Rs 17,000) while offering better features and similar power.
As much as we’d love to see the Voge 500AC in India, the company hasn’t really shown any interest in the Indian market yet. So we’ll just have to suffice with just images and daydreaming for now.
