The price of the hugely delayed Tesla Roadster has vanished from the internet, causing confusion. We figure out what’s going on. The new roadster has been in the works for a long time, with Tesla CEO Elon Musk mentioning a successor to the roadster constructed from 2008 to 2012 based on the Lotus Elise as early as 2011.
A roadster was announced for 2019 in 2015, and Musk actually revealed the second version in 2017 – which is expected to hit the market in 2020. The year 2020 has passed, and there are still no signals that the new roadster will be delivered. Meanwhile, Musk rationalized the sports car’s postponement by claiming that Tesla required all available capacity for its electric pickup truck, the Cybertruck, which was also significantly delayed.
Now that Tesla has removed the prices for the Roadster and the Founders Edition from its website, rumors of a sell-out are circulating.
The Tesla Roadster (shown) is a 2 + 2 seater, unlike its predecessor, which was a pure two-seater.
It is still feasible to make a large deposit.
With an optional SpaceX package, the new roadster should be able to accelerate from zero to 100 km/h in under two seconds, and even 1.1 seconds is feasible. Instead of a rear seat, the SpaceX package includes a pressure vessel that releases its contents via cold gas engines to create additional thrust.
In space travel, cold gas engines are employed to control the position of rockets.
The roadster should be able to hover for a limited period of time with the assistance of such engines; however, the demonstration of this technology that was scheduled for 2019 has yet to take place.
Nonetheless, Tesla promises great statistics for the roadster – and as a result, the electric speedster will cost a lot of money. The 2 + 2-seater will cost $ 200,000 (currently the equivalent of 177,131 euros) in the base configuration, and 250,000 dollars in the Founders Edition restricted to 1,000 copies (221,414 euros). These pricing have since vanished from the Tesla website in the United States, leaving just a deposit on the German site.

Tesla has deleted the prices for the new roadster off the website, but interested parties may still reserve one for 43,000 euros in Europe or 50,000 dollars in the United States. The Roadster is now priced at $ 200,000, according to Tesla.
