It's impossible to miss, but there could be a good reason for it.
Tesla has already done away with traditional steering wheels, banished a conventional gear selector and replaced it with a strip on the central touchscreen, and decided that indicator stalks were superfluous. At this rate, Tesla will soon find a reason to dispense with pedals in favor of some other peculiar solution. Right now, it seems the company is experimenting with good ol' windshield wiper blades. Already, Tesla has had a patent for laser wipers approved, but a recent sighting of the Tesla Cybertruck shows the elusive pickup with a much more ungainly solution.
As you can see in the video below, the Cybertruck was spotted with an enormous single windshield wiper that rests along the side of the windshield when not in use. It's hardly an elegant solution, but fortunately, it appears that Tesla won't use this wiper for the production model.
That's according to Elon Musk himself. Replying to some tweets about this wiper design on Twitter, he said that this isn't the production wiper. In a separate tweet, Musk said that “the wiper is what troubles me most,” and that there's no easy solution. He would have liked to see a deployable wiper that disappears into the front trunk, but said this would be complex.
Considering that Tesla apparently hasn't even figured out the Cybertruck's wiper design, it's no surprise that the production model isn't ready yet. In what could potentially be related news, CarBuzz also uncovered a patent filing from Tesla for an electromagnetic windshield wiper system. It was filed with the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
The patent documentation describes the following: “The control circuitry controls a linear motion of the electromagnetic moving block along at least one guide rail to steer the wiper arm that is coupled to the electromagnetic moving block back and forth across a length of the windshield to the windshield.”

It says that the entire transparent area of the windshield could be cleared, something that traditional wipers can't do. Could it be that the Cybertruck will incorporate such a windshield wiper design? At this point, anything is possible, and that massive wiper blade could be dragged across the full width of the massive, now-curved, windscreen.
Other elements spotted in this latest Cybertruck prototype that differ from previous iterations include side mirrors, fender flares that appear thicker than they were, and smaller lights between the main headlights. Recent reports indicate that a quad-motor Cybertruck is in the pipeline too. Although the pickup is scheduled to go into production next year, we'll believe that when we see it.
