The upcoming Kia EV6 was recently spotted in India ahead of the launch in May this year. To be brought into the country via the CBU route, the Kia EV6 will command a price tag of around INR 50 lakh (ex-showroom). Having said this, here are all the details that you should check out about this new electric crossover in India.
The Kia EV6 will mark the start of Kia’s electric mobility portfolio in the Indian market and will be imported into the country via the CBU (completely built unit) route. This electric crossover is based on the brand’s latest e-GMP platform and will boast the opposites United design philosophy. In addition to this, the Kia EV6 also boasts a strong road presence and will definitely attract a lot of eyeballs on the roads.

Inside, the Kia EV6 will offer a feature-rich and upmarket cabin with a dual-screen layout and a premium dashboard layout. On the features front, the electric crossover boasts a digital instrument console, heads-up display, two-spoke steering wheel, and a number of ADAS features. Other features like push-button start, automatic climate control, power windows, etc will also be offered with the Kia EV6.

While the brand is yet to share any details about the powertrain, the EV6 globally is available with a variety of powertrain options. These include a 58kWh battery pack where the buyers have an option to choose from two drivetrain configurations – a rear-wheel-drive (RWD) layout with a 170 hp single-motor setup and an all-wheel-drive layout with a dual-motor set-up that makes 235 hp.
The styling of the EV6 looks unique and different
In addition to this, the Kia EV6 is also available with a larger 77.4 kWh battery pack. This iteration is available with a 229 hp single-motor RWD version and a 325 hp dual-motor AWD version. The EV6 GT on the other hand boasts better performance and boasts a dual-motor AWD layout. This performance-oriented version of the car delivers peak power and torque output of 585 hp and 740 Nm.
