The K1D power cruiser could share its engine with the Himalayan 450.
Royal Enfield is reportedly working on a new 450cc cruiser for the global markets. A fuzzy image of the new model (codenamed: K1D) reveals a Ducati Diavel-inspired design.
Royal Enfield’s new 450cc power cruiser doesn’t look like anything we have seen from the brand to date. The bike has a steep rake angle, swept-back handlebars and a low seat, offering a relaxed riding position. Also visible in the image is a short tail section, a twin-can exhaust and a rear tyre hugger.
The report suggests that the K1D power cruiser will be powered by a 450cc, single-cylinder engine, producing around 40 BHP and 45 Nm. It will be paired with a 6-speed gearbox. The same engine is expected to power the Himalayan 450.
The exact launch timeline for the K1D power cruiser is not known. But, as per the latest reports, the bike could debut sometime in 2025.
