The driver of registration number BPV 686 caught on dashcam road bullying another motorist will be remanded by the police until Wednesday 4-May 2022.
A report by the Malaysia Gazette quoting Selangor Traffic and Enforcement Department Chief Superintendent Azman Shari said, “The local male suspect was brought to the Magistrate Court for remand order before the court approved the three-day remand beginning today until 4 May 2022 to assist the police in its interview and completion of the case.”
The suspect will be investigated under Section 42(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
Meanwhile, the Malay Mail reported that the suspect was taken to the Narcotics Division of the Gombak district police headquarters for a urine test for drugs, as well as to the Selayang Hospital for an alcohol level test, both of which turned out to be negative.
The daily adds that if charged in court and found guilty, the driver could be punished with a jail sentence of up to 5 years and fined a minimum of RM 5,000 and a maximum of RM 15,000.
