The new RAM 1500 Outdoorsman has arrived on the scene to display the pickup’s potential. A car for adventurers filled with Mopar-signed extras. A project that was announced as part of the SEMA Show 2021 celebrations.
RAM will be a featured brand at the 2021 SEMA Show, one of the most significant automotive events in North America. Mopar has given a variety of projects in society as part of the celebration of this new model. The aforementioned American company makes its debut with two models. Among them is the new RAM 1500 Outdoorsman.
RAM’s popular pickup truck is reimagined as an adventure vehicle. A RAM 1500 Big Horn Crew Cab 4×4 was used as the starting point for the creation of this outstanding unit. All of this is done under the watchful eye of Mopar professionals who will ensure that all required equipment for work and recreation is included.
The new RAM 1500 Outdoorsman’s exterior has been revealed.
The body is finished in a high-gloss black and has special Mopar Blue graphics. It has a Mopar aluminum rack system with two adjustable height configurations that makes it ideal for transporting long items such as ladders, paddles, or even a kayak. Additionally, two-inch TYRI LEDs are mounted on each corner of the cargo box shelf, and a CHSML adds a third brake light to the rear crossbar.
A sliding platform system capable of supporting a high amount of weight has been constructed to assist loading and unloading of tools. Each sliding panel is equipped with bespoke T-rails and brackets that serve as a means of securing objects. Additionally, this pick-cargo up’s compartment is covered by a Mopar-branded spray coating.
Additionally, it has a Dometic refrigerator and a workstation capable of cutting wood, tuning bicycles, and sharpening skis. Mopar dividers help keep tools organized within the RamBox load management system. FOX shock absorbers have increased the body’s clearance from the ground. It rides on black Rhino 20-inch wheels wrapped in Continental tires.
The new RAM 1500 Outdoorsman’s interior
Apart from the appearance, the new 1500 Outdoorsman’s front row bucket seats and second row bench seats with aluminium mesh fabric inserts and side gussets are standout features. Katzkin leather with Mopar blue leather trim and grey accents in Sydney. Additionally, the front seats include embroidered Outdoorsman and Mopar insignia.
The front center armrest has a bespoke sliding work surface. Additionally, the door handles are lined in sleek black Gode-Tex vinyl, and the armrests are stitched in Mopar Blue. Additionally, it is equipped with Mopar-specific floor mats.
Supercharged 6.2 L SRT HEMI V8
The supercharged 6.2 L SRT HEMI V8 engine is well-known from Dodge Hellcat vehicles and Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk, and is now available in the RAM 1500 TRX. The engine’s sturdy cast iron block and forged steel crankshaft with induction-hardened bearings are built around a robust cast iron block. The twin-screw compressor, when combined with the large-volume V8, produces up to 712 horsepower and an astonishing 881 Nm of torque. The performance vehicle, which weighs around 3,000 kilograms, accelerates from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour in 4.5 seconds.
A mechanism that restricts the operation of four of the eight cylinders to the partial load range, hence lowering fuel consumption. V6 EcoDiesel 3.0 liter
Adding a low-pressure exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) system to the existing high-pressure system reduces energy losses and, therefore, fuel usage. 8-speed TorqueFlite automatic gearbox
The new RAM 1500 DT retains the previous model’s eight-speed automatic gearbox. This automatic gearbox developed by ZF has been tested and revolutionized the American pickup truck in terms of driving comfort, power, and economy in RAM. This converter gearbox, with its lightning-fast switching, not only provides excellent propulsion, but also exceptional dependability under large loads.
Although the transmissions differ significantly amongst engines, they are all based on the 8-speed automatic. The gearbox was further refined for the current model year, which means it is now capable of handling even larger torques. The gearbox of the RAM 1500 TRX may be operated using a traditional selector lever rather than the conventional gear wheel, and the individual ratios can be switched sportily via shift paddles on the steering wheel.
Dodge and RAM vehicles have traditionally provided rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive pickups. Due to the much higher demand in Europe, only versions with selectable all-wheel drive are imported. This all-wheel-drive system is based on rear-wheel drive for normal travel and has a three-stage front axle activation. The various modes are meant for a variety of uses and driving scenarios; for example, the 2WD mode works as the standard kind of drive for daily usage, operating just the back axle.
The 4WD system of the automobile may be used on wet or mildly snow-covered roads, as well as when driving. The vehicle maintains rear-wheel drive but automatically engages the front axle as required. 4WD High and 4WD Low are permanent all-wheel drives that are used for driving on soft terrain. Low mode is set to the lowest gear ratio. On the rear axle, the automatic differential lock or the optional electrically switchable differential lock may also be triggered.

Suspension by air
RAM pickups are the only pickup trucks in America with four-corner air suspension. The whole RAM 1500 model line may be bought with air suspension rather than coil springs as an option (except TRX ). Offroad 4×4 group
The 4×4 Offroad Group has several features and adjustments designed to maximize performance on rough terrain. The E-Locker rear axle with electrically switchable differential lock, all-terrain tires, heavy-duty shock absorbers front and rear, numerous underbody protection plates, a hill descent assist, tow hooks, and specific lettering on the back of the truck are among the particular characteristics of this option. Additionally, cars equipped with the off-road package have an additional 25 mm of ground clearance.

Package – Night Edition
Parallel to the Sport Appearance Package, a Night Edition is offered. Along with the vehicle’s color-matched bumpers, door handles, and external mirrors, the Night Package adds a black interior, black logos, black rims, black tailpipes, headlights and taillights with black inlays, and a black radiator grille. The Night package includes the performance bonnet as well. In contrast to the Black Appearance Package, the Night Edition Package comes in a variety of paint finishes.

A revised grille design
In today’s automobile, the radiator grille is always the focal point of the optics. For many automakers, the radiator grille serves as a distinguishing element. This characteristic is seen on the previous Dodge RAM and several current Dodge cars. It is referred known as the radiator grille with the cross pattern or the honeycomb grill. With the new RAM 1500, old design aspects have been phased out, and new styles have taken over the truck’s face.
