The Ram 1500 range looks slightly different for 2023 compared with last year, with a slimmer line-up creating a new entry point, as well as a slight price increase at the top end of the family.
While the 2023 Ram 1500 brought with it new pricing adopted as of January 1 2023, the range also now starts at $98,950 before on-road costs, with the slightly shorter version of the ‘base’ 1500 Express discontinued.
The quad-cab was an $85,950 offering, while the new near-$100k price point gets you into a more spacious Express crew-cab.
Despite the new pricing, it is still quite a bit more affordable than the Chevrolet Silverado, that just arrived in model year 2023 guise from $128,000 before on-road costs.
The range has been slimmed to the extent that there is now only one version of each variant, aside from the mid-spec Laramie which is offered with or without a RamBox (which adds storage above the rear wheel arches).
The other key change is that the supercharged 6.2-litre V8-powered Ram 1500 TRX (other variants all have 5.7-litre naturally aspirated V8s) is now $10,000 more expensive than before, now starting from $219,950.
The Ram 2500 Laramie and 3500 Laramie are both still available, starting at $169,950 and $174,950 respectively.
