2023 Toyota Fortuner Modellista is equipped with a 2.4L turbo diesel engine. The aftermarket kit developed by Modellista accentuates sporty elements. Modellista provides the opportunity to customize vehicles, adding an unmatched layer of creativity and quality. In comparison, the GR Sport variant comes straight from the heart of racing with a 2.8L turbo diesel engine. The front profile sports a Lexus-inspired large open grille.
In terms of pricing, Fortuner Modellista 2.4L diesel engine variant based on Legender costs around 1.673 million Baht (approx Rs. 40.41 lakh, ex-sh. 2023 Fortuner GR Sport variant costs around 1.8 million Baht (approx Rs. 45.9 lakh, ex-sh). Mileage claimed by 2023 Fortuner 2.8 liter diesel engine is 14.7 kmpl while that by the 2.4 liter diesel motor is 13.9 kmpl.

The Modellista has noticeably more design updates with Infiniti QX80 inspired wheel design, but we have to give it up for the GR Sport for its vivid Red colour. While the Fortuner Modellista is not available in India, Toyota has introduced the GR Sport variant in the country.

In India, SUVs with length more than 4 m and ground clearance more than 169 mm and engine displacements much larger than 1500 cc, get an applied duty of up to 50%, which is rather very high. Prices for Fortuner in India extends to Rs. 50.34 lakh ex-sh for GR-Sport, which is just shy of Rs 63 lakh on-road in Karnataka.
