A woman sought by London police after a cruiser was damaged during an arrest last month has now been arrested, city police say.
London police had obtained a warrant for the arrest of a 26-year-old woman on a charge of fleeing police after officers attempted to arrest a wanted man on May 22 in the area of Queens Avenue and English Street in the city’s Old East Village neighbourhood.
During the arrest, officers parked a cruiser behind a vehicle and tried to arrest its passenger when the female driver drove into the cruiser, striking it two times, police said.
The passenger of the vehicle tried to resist arrest and a second man assaulted an officer while trying to help the wanted man. One of the men also struck the cruiser, police said.
The wanted woman, whose arrest was announced Tuesday, is charged with dangerous operation of a vehicle and mischief of more than $5,000. She’s scheduled to appear in court June 27, police said.
A 40-year-old London man also faces charges of resisting arrest and drug possession in connection with case, police said.
A 39-year-old London man is also facing several charges, including two counts of assaulting a police officer and obstructing a police officer, police said.
