As the UK is in the depths of another lockdown, we all need to find things to cheer ourselves up. Catching a good movie on TV, treating yourself to something online or just eating a load of biscuits – it’s all good. Something that might put a smile on your face is news of a new Lamborghini model.
Announced with a teaser image and cryptic text, little is known about the new supercar with Lamborghini doing well to keep it a secret so far. Looking at the silhouette pictured beneath a silk sheet, it’s safe to assume that whatever this car might be, it’s based on a Huracan. Something else that backs up the Huracan theory is that we know this car will be powered by a V10 engine.
The caption of ‘From track to road’ suggest that this car might be a more potent variant that takes inspiration from motorsport. Lamborghini currently fields a GT3 variant of the Huracan and also runs its own Super Trofeo series for gentleman racers. This image appears to show a sizeable rear wing, so we’d guess there’s some serious aero going on under there.
The new V10 Lamborghini will be revealed on 18th November 2020 at 4PM CET, or 3PM here in the UK. You can watch the unveiling via Lamborghini’s website, but be sure to come back to YesAuto as we’ll have plenty of coverage on this new Raging Bull.
The current top of the tree Huracan is the Performante, one of the fastest cars to ever lap the infamous Nurburgring. That machine featured a naturally aspirated 5.2-litre V10 and could get from 0-62mph in 2.9 seconds. This new model will have to be seriously impressive if it aims to surpass its sibling.
Stay tuned for the latest news on Lamborghini’s more focused V10 model.
