The Lamborghini Huracan portfolio which consists of the Evo, Evo RWD and STO has now attained a new associate that bears the Technica nameplate.
Designed for drivers who seek ‘driving fun and lifestyle perfection on both road and track’, the new Lamborghini Huracan Technica slots between the track-focused STO and Evo models.
Even with electrification being the hot topic for manufacturers nowadays, the Huracan Technica borrows its high-revving 5.2-litre V10 powerplant from the STO. The engine gushes out 470 kW and 565 Nm wholly sent to the rear axle via a 7-speed automatic gearbox.
Thanks to a dry weight of 1,379 kg, the Huracan Technica completes the 0-100 km/h whizz in 3.2 seconds. It features rear-wheel steering with a direct steering ratio and torque vectoring as well as an enhanced Performance Traction Control System.
For enhanced aerodynamics, it is equipped with a fixed rear wing that is said to contribute 35% improvement in rear downforce as well as a 20% reduction in drag compared to the aforementioned Evo RWD. The Technica is also fitted with optimised aero deflectors underneath for improved aerodynamic efficiency.
On the design front, the Huracan Technica features a full carbon fibre hood, a new bumper with Terzo Millennio’s black Ypsilon design with an air curtain for the first time in a Huracan. The front end lurks a new splitter with a lower, open slat that directs air through the wheels for improved downforce and cooling.
At 6.1 cm longer than the EVO, the Technica features a silhouette inspired by the daylight opening line from the Essenza SCV12. Buyers can have the body-colour roof painted in black as an option.
The rear of the new Lamborghini Technica has been revised and now includes a new vertical rear glass window as well as a redesigned engine hood in lightweight carbon fibre. The bumper is new and now incorporates an optimised air inlet, diffuser in body colour or optional black and new hexagonal exhaust tips.
The road patches come courtesy of new Damiso 20” diamond cut wheels wrapped in Bridgestone Potenza Sport tyres.
The Technica comes standard in eight exterior shades with more than 200 additional paint options available through the Ad Personam program.
Inside, the Technica features a reworked HMI interface exclusive to the model. The system supports Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and Amazon Alexa while also displaying the car’s LDVI functions in real-time display. There are also height-adjustable sports seats, optional equipment includes a lightweight door design; a rear arch and wheel bolts in lightweight titanium; and harness seat belts for those track sessions.
There is a new interior trim in Alcantara specifically for Tecnica with further options that include stitching designs and colours and the ‘Tecnica’ motif embroidered into seat bolsters.
