The naturally aspirated petrol engine is offered with either a 6-speed manual or an iVT gearbox and produces 113bhp and 144Nm of torque. The diesel, on the other hand, sports the iMT and torque converter automatic gearbox options – both 6-speed – and churns out 114bhp and 250Nm of torque.
The facelifted Kia Seltos comes with a few cosmetic tweaks on the exterior in the form of the new DRLs and front grille, tweaked front and rear bumpers, connected taillights with new star map LED pattern and dual-exhausts for the new 1.5-turbo petrol variants.
The insides of the new 2023 Seltos facelift have undergone a more cosmetically visible change. The cabin now sports dual 10.25-inch screens for instrumentation and infotainment.
The touchscreen infotainment setup is paired with an 8-speaker Bose sound system and supports Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Also seen is the Korean firm’s Kia Connect suite of connected car features which can be accessed remotely with a smartphone or smartwatch.
The biggest change inside the cabin though is the presence of the new dual-pane sunroof. Other features present include dual-zone automatic air conditioning, a wireless phone charger, leatherette upholstery, a 360-degree camera and an 8-inch heads-up display.
The new Seltos is also stuffed with safety kit including 6 airbags, ABS with EBD, VSM, ESC, TC, hill hold, hill descent control, ISOFIX child seat anchor points along with front and rear parking sensors.
Making life easier on the move for the one behind the wheel are a host of Level 2 ADAS features like adaptive cruise control, blind spot collision warning, forward collision avoidance and lane keep assist among others.
