Kia entered the Indian car market in 2019 and has quickly become one of the biggest carmakers in the country. The South Korean carmaker noted that it has sold over 4 lakh cars in the country. The company achieved this feat in 29 months, making it the fastest car manufacturer in the country to achieve this sales milestone. The company has also exported 1 lakh vehicles from India. Kia’s first vehicle launched here was Seltos which went on sale in 2019 and it still continues to be the best-selling vehicle in the company’s India portfolio. The second and third Kia products launched in India was Carnival and Sonet, both of which have racked up considerable sales for the country. The Sonet is incredibly popular in India and has racked up over 1 lakh sales ever since it was launched here in 2020. And the latest product from Kia, the Carens, is well on its way to becoming a success in the country.

Kia’s latest product for India is Carens which was launched here earlier this month. A three-row MPV, the Carens became available for bookings in January and the company had received over 19,000 orders before the MPV’s India launch. Available with a choice between two petrol engines and a diesel powerplant, the Carens comes equipped with a raft of modern features such as a 10.25-inch touchscreen, digital instrument cluster, sunroof, air purifier, automatic AC, AC vents for the second and third row, six airbags, electronic stability control, vehicle stability management, and more. Kia Carens’ price in India currently ranges between ₹8.99 lakh and ₹16.99 lakh. All prices are ex-showroom, India.
