PETALING JAYA: Five of six models from Kia are priced lower now, with the biggest change in the Sorento, which is now RM2,088 cheaper, representing a 1.3% drop in price following the implementation of the Goods and Services Tax (GST) on April 1.
The 2.4-litre SUV is now priced at RM156,800.
The price of the manual and automatic transmission Picanto remain unchanged.
Distributor Naza Kia Malaysia also sells the Rio, Cerato, Optima K5 and Sportage. All models are locally assembled except for the Optima K5.
The Cerato, introduced locally in 2013, remains the bestseller and sees a price drop of up to 1.02% depending on variants. For example, the base 1.6-litre Cerato is RM208 cheaper at RM89,680, while the 2.0-litre version is RM1,208 cheaper at RM117,680.
